1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using our website, forms, emails, or text message program (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our SMS Terms, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Nature of our service
Find My Rates is an independent educational resource and auto insurance comparison guide. We provide general information, checklists, and reminders to help consumers understand and compare auto insurance.
Find My Rates is not an insurance company, insurance agency, insurance producer, or broker. We do not sell, solicit, negotiate, underwrite, or bind insurance; we do not provide insurance quotes; and we do not provide insurance, legal, tax, or financial advice. Any coverage decisions should be made with a licensed insurance professional in your state, and only after reviewing the actual policy documents. Coverage, rates, discounts, and eligibility are determined solely by insurers and vary by state and individual circumstances.
We do not endorse or recommend any particular insurer, and references to types of coverage, discounts, or rating factors are general in nature and may not apply to you.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Information you provide
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to submit only your own information. You may not submit information about another person without their authorization, or provide a phone number or email address that you do not own or are not authorized to use.
5. Communications & text messages
By submitting a form, you agree that we may contact you by email regarding your request. If you separately opt in to Find My Rates Savings Alerts, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages as described in our SMS Terms. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies (up to 6 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
- Submit false information or impersonate any person or entity;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data using automated means without our written permission;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code; or
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content for commercial purposes without permission.
7. Intellectual property
The Services and all content, including text, graphics, images, logos, and software, are owned by or licensed to Internet Venture Holdings LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Third-party links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, products, services, or privacy practices of third parties. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE CONTENT IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT YOU WILL SAVE MONEY OR OBTAIN ANY PARTICULAR RATE OR COVERAGE, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERNET VENTURE HOLDINGS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY INSURANCE DECISIONS YOU MAKE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Internet Venture Holdings LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services, including submitting information that is not yours.
12. Dispute resolution & governing law
Informal resolution. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@findmyrates.co and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Find My Rates agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. The arbitration may be conducted by video conference or in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
Class action waiver. You and Find My Rates agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@findmyrates.co with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” within 30 days of first using the Services.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the arbitration provisions above, exclusive venue lies in the state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
13. General terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page with a new effective date; continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
